Pink for Spring?
Revolutionary! Spring cleaning & beauty favorites x
Hi there!!!
Due for an update, and excited to share these recent happenings and favorite things in beauty. I’ve really embraced only doing what feels good and paring down my routine to be me, but a little better in all categories.
I’m so…excited by where nail trends are going these days, and the many indie brands popping up catered to at home nail girls like myself. (ie. Celisse, which I’m dying to get my hands on)
This wasn’t always the case, for years I was a religious gel nail girl, and even a gelx one, meticulously tracking nail trends and gathering references for every nail appointment. Honestly it stopped when I stopped enjoying spending time at the salon, and I haven’t turned back since!
I’m now the stark opposite, going in for an occasional pedicure and barely ever a manicure (recession indicator but….chic). Most of the time I do my own manicure, which is rarely more than a file and buff, sometimes with a coat of Bubble Bath by OPI or En Pointe by Côte (a great clean nail brand). I tend to rotate between my own holy trinity: short neutral, short dark, and short red. More specifically: Put It In Neutral or Bubble Bath, Lincoln Park After Dark, and Big Apple Red.

Continuing on here in my me but better…and being the obligatory beauty-rec friend, F&F Sales this time of year always warrant a good routine audit, especially if you’re like me and find yourself with too much. (Credo is still going with 20% off if you’ve not yet shopped) And of course a great time to keep stocking up. Here’s some of my favorites I’d recommend to anyone wanting to try something new…
Rôz Haircare - Truly haven’t not liked a product from their line. I’ve always thought I had too oily hair to use a regular person shampoo, and turns out I was gravely wrong. Their shampoo and conditioner clean grit easily, but don’t cause any kind of stripping effect for me, even if I double shampoo. The hair mask is a new favorite I bought recently, along with their root lift spray I love for both wet and dry hair.
Salt + Stone Body Lotion, in Saffron + Cedar - This is the first product I’ve really fallen in love with from their line. Generally am more of a santal girl, but after being kindly gifted this scent-set I’ve become obsessed, and can’t go without it. Was never great about applying lotion post-shower before, and have found keeping it in the shower helps soak it all in (and remind me to do it lol).
Weleda Skin food - Truly a solve-all balm that keeps my skin feeling hydrated throughout the day, I love it as a hand cream mostly but it’s even good under makeup - just needs enough time to really soak in before following with other products.
Still loving working at Counter, if you’re interested in trying I’d highly recommend the Vitamin C Serum as a starting place—coined sunshine in a bottle for a reason for its bright color and citrusy scent. I’ve felt like with most Vitamin C serums you trade efficacy for experience or vice versa, which is far from the case here. You CAN have it all! If Vitamin C is already covered for you, I’d suggest the Hyaluronic Moisture Mist or Dew Skin Tinted Moisturizer (I wear shade 2) as close tied-for-second-picks.
Eadem Le ChouChou Balm - WOW. Came by coworker recommendation and am truly obsessed. I’m now the proud owner of Butter Mochi and Chateau Rose, and eyeing the Guava one. One part hydrator, one part exfoliator, and plumper too. Again, you can have it alllll.
Let me know if you like these, all for now! xx

Okay so interested in the salt + stone body lotion!!! Also chic recession indicator got a chuckle out of me
